I was thinking about this today, how single songs are woefully underpriced on #Bandcamp. A digital single for $1 is crazy; that’s 1970s prices. Should be at least $5 in 2023, imho.
I’ve sometimes spent will into four-figures on an individual song, to record, mix, travel to studios, pay to master, pay musicians and vocalists, etc. With Bandcamp and Paypal taking ~25% of that $1, It’s nearly impossible for an artist to recoup costs.
