I think it largely depends on what you use your nsec for. If your nsec is attached to your reputation, business, finances, etc. then it makes sense to be paranoid about it being compromised.
I, however, couldn't care less. I mostly just lurk and read other people's stuff. My nsec isn't attached to my real identity or personal reputation. If I lost it or someone else gained access, I would just shrug and create a new one.
