A lot of green development seems to be held up by people's aesthetic objections. I do understand, 30 years ago when I spent a lot of time hiking the idea of turbines on the hills was anathema but we have to get over it. Our scenery is almost entirely man made already so there's no logical reason why we can't remake it differently. If that means pumped storage in a national park then so be it.
