Jellyfin for Roku dev here.
Since we're a do-acracy, doesn't it make sense for us not to close feature requests? 🤔
A close is a "no." A decision was made that we do not want that feature in Jellyfin, but a long open request means simply no one has picked it up and worked on it.
Since we're volunteers, no one can force anyone to work on anything; we pick and choose what we work on.
And as you said, there is no money to sway us. It's simply us giving up our time with the mission of making great software that we ourselves use.
Personally, I want the Roku client to be awesome because we have 5 Rokus in my house that we use to stream Jellyfin 😆
