In Germany the extreme far right party is now the 2. Strongest. (We have 6-7 relevant big parties.)
Everybody knows the party is illegal and in direct violation of our constitution. But for years starting the process of banning this party was delayed again and again. Nobody made it to priority to start the process or simply put everything on it to have them banned.
And before this party was founded another extreme far right party just had been banned. So it's pretty much the same party with a different name.
Point is, not even the left tried to force a ban.
It gets clogged up in bureaucracy. Everybody knows they are illegal. Probably people are also scared already because in the past people got killed for openly speaking against the far right.
Everybody will keep playing stupid, knowing exactly where that leads but 🤷 it's easier not to think about it...
