they need some work, not really good by hand. The wild ones have really bitter skins so we have to take that off first (by freezing or mildly baking first and then running thru a colander). Then they make pretty good jam, pastries and pies, and such. Killer margaritas the other night with plum simple syrup.
They are beautiful, aren't they? And this year so plentiful that we're not in a competition with the squirrels to get any!
