Thinking out loud:
If Bitcoin was around in 1776 the Continental Congress couldn't have issued Continentals (aka printing money). Without money printing it seems very unlikely that they would have been able to fund the rebellion and thus freedom would not have been gained.
Does that mean that America's founding is in part thanks to printing money?
