I deleted all other social media and joined Mastodon a few years ago now. I certainly more enjoy/am less annoyed with my social media time now, but...
Reflecting the last week or two about it for the first time in a while, I do think it has probably cost me informal but significant professional opportunities.
That's not everything in life, but it also is very concrete in a way other considerations about social media are not.
Not quitting or anything, just lamenting to the void.
