Preserve. It's great to have with yoghurt and muesli, or to heat up and spread over ice cream. Fill glasses full with plums, add 2 spoons of sugar, top off with water, and boil at 90C for 30 mins.
Compote. Basically like jam but less sugar. Add some corn starch to make it semi-fluid. Great with yoghurt.
Syrup. Cook plums into a molasses type consistency. Fill into glasses. The high sugar content preserves it for years.
