yeah, it’s definitely a both type thing - we need excellent palliative care and an option for those who are done. I always remember my grandmother who turned 100 and said to me on my visit for her birthday that she was done now she had her letter from the Queen. Three months later she died peacefully in her sleep with family around her. Not everyone gets that kind of exit and while hers wasn’t assisted it was the sort of good death I would want.
