tried codex first, but not supporting 3rd party providers was a no go + didn’t like the output streaming buffering
tried opencode but had too much flashiness, and bloated, slow and ate 500MB of RAM
looked at aider but it was *too* simple tbh
pi was the only great one really, simple but also extensible
