I need to read more things not in English. Spanish is my best bet but I really want more books in Kreyol. But colonialism in #Haiti has kept French the premiere language of writing and thus everything is mainly in French (and a contributor to low literacy rates - having to learn another language on top of your mother tongue AND balance classes two miles away with little public transit isn't sustainable).
The only option I can think of is writing more in #Kreyol (I have some blog posts translated by hand but barely) but it'd go beyond that. Like children's books (which also help adults learn to read), teenage books and young adult material is needed. And I need to do more research now.
