I feel like scanning my ID is a good hill to stand on. It's unnecessary. I'm working on a post about it and I'm going to start interviewing bar owners about it soon. I also know my city councilman and want to talk to him about "opt out" city legislation once I do some interviews with bar managers and get some of their responses.
I know it doesn't affect most normal people, but it does affect me. I also know a lot of bar owners (just by growing up with them) and also plan on thanking the ones who don't scan and inform them on why I think it's important.
Tennessee is getting crazy on ID laws and I feel like I have to do something about it.
