metal polishing isn’t rocket science. Get yourself a silicon carbide sponge from 3M in super fine and ultra fine grit.
Go through those till all the scratches are gone.
Use a buffing arbor with a muslin cloth charged with Zam polishing compound ($10 for a big brick). Buff till you are happy.
That will do copper, silver, and gold.
For steel you need to do the black compound first. For platinum you do blue.
