It uses to be normal to agree to disagree on selected topics. It is totally OK to see things differently and if you both start from different axioms it might be impossible to see it in the same optics... And that is fine.
The issue is radicalization, censorship and self-censorship. People are now willing to break friendships and families because they disagree on something abstract as politics. People are afraid to say what they think because they will be ostracized (I never met a person voting for Babiš for example) and this is not abstract issue, if you are vocal about your views and agenda the others will go against you very hard.
All this leads to radicalization and irreversible demages in our communities and society. I honestly don't understand why would anyone want to do this. Maybe a foreign adversary trying to destroy our civilization... Or it might be simply a negative byproduct of social media.
