Modern society isn't very compatible with the bible is it.
Either A) the Bible is a work of God and completely true or B) the bible is a work of men and is just a fancy self-help book. Can't have both. If the word of an omnipotent God was allowed to be muddied, is that God really omnipotent? Why wouldn't God protect its own words? If God wouldn't protect its own teachings...
I don't know man, I try not to think about it too much. Christianity is weird.
