The best thing about human beings is that we have the capacity for empathy, not just with our kin but with other humans and animals.
Let's use this empathy a bit more, walk in the shoes of others, understand their needs, and cast aside our tendency to see our personal needs in opposition to those of others.
We are social animals. We are not in a zero sum game. If you look after others, not only will you be in a community, you will be happier and you will probably live longer. That's actual science!
