I’ve been thinking of something similar and my thought is, newest used 32GB Lenovo I can find with AMD (because I’m going to Linux and Nvidia works out exactly never).
Prices are high and are going up. 8GB isn’t useful, 16GB and you are scraping by. CPU/GPU are super fast unless you want to game (then $500 is bigger spent on a PS5, as a decent GPU is more) the fancy games.
