I had a student who looked at designs on shields and message sticks from a common region. They have obviously different designs one lot visible from afar the other only from hand to hand. He analysed them with a common methodology and then did a pca of the stats. The two groups of objects could NOT be separated on the pca. I hailed it as an example of SIGO. Sense In Garbage Out.
