So I had to tow a bunch of foolios that had gotten their Toyota truck stuck n the bay mud flats near what is now Facebook HQ in 1989
It was about 100 feet from the road IN the mud (2 AM) and I had to anchor the truck to a pylon using the front winch and took quite a bit to break the suction. When I pulled up the kid pulled out his AAA card and I laughed and explained this was a cash transaction as insurance and AAA do not cover this. All told I charged them $500 which is about 1300 today for the extraction then the tow was additional.
This is miles from BF Nowhere and if the suspension is fragged then even if they get a truck out of there and tow it rear up it will be thousands upon thousands AND the nearest shop is maybe in Ridgecrest?
Add to that not sure of the requirements but you can destroy AWD systems if they are not towed correctly
