Well, as Bauer notes, it has been quite a lucrative gig there (and in Canada, too). She says outright that she's sure the fraud kicks back into Democratic coffers. In Canada, the payback comes (at least) through generous funding of organizations who back their policies. I know of lots of people who have nice homes and other things because they go along with the virtue-based corruption.
