It is my Name Day (nimipäivä) today! In Finland it might be a day for cake, coffee, celebrations and small gifts. A couple of my bougiest friends in childhood also had small parties... But as it happens, mine is so close to my birthday that I tend to get both name day and birthday wishes in one. But still! It is my name day today.
The Finnish for the well wishing is "Hyvää nimipäivää!" which literally translates to "good name day" and has delightfully excessive amounts of dots and umlauts in it. 😄
