ever seen a bunch of folks playing with heium? looks fun and it sure does sound funny! LOL. it has been almost a decade where this focus on the world's shortage of helium gas been doing its rounds since. the recently shortage situtation however, is a little different this time; as more than 1/3 of all of the world's helium gas is used in MRI machines in hospitals, and a significant amount of helium gas is used in production of semiconductors (a.k.a microprocessors, chips, flash RAM etc etc...).
the largest source of helium at the moment? drilling alongside natural gas sites.
can this gas be synthetized? No.
