Reading over your 2023 write-up, it definitely sounds like you've been drinking the Kool-Aid. You wrote that you're not a crypto expert. Here's a surprise for you: neither are the people who created C2PA. (If they were, then they wouldn't be trying to bypass the crypto security by using X.509 certs wrong, ignoring expiration dates, issuing their own root certs, etc.) They don't follow the X.509 standard and they don't follow industry best practices.
