Somehow despite being terminally online, and spending a lot of that time on fedi, I just assumed 1488 was referencing some kind of medieval historical event.
I understood it was related to white supremacy in some way, but it wasn't until (I think) earlier this year that I looked it up and realized it was referencing a slogan.
