Thanks for the reply, I try to stay open minded bc recently the data coming in has been shifting my opinions.
I agree with your approach. I think building the argument up from phenomena one can explain with physical causes is the only way to build a coherent theory.
The “sun speeds up” theory seems a bit far fetched for me and I can’t think of a rational physical mechanism.
