Look with context this conversation is pointless that context being the train has took off you can’t stop it. Bitcoin is still in the station they can absolutely destroy the station and the train goes nowhere.
The only things I know (I don’t know if it’s accurate) increasing OP return was to help with fees to incentivize and decreasing it was to prevent spam and keep fees from skyrocketing.
Now I don’t know if this is true but I read an article that said it had no affect on fees and the debate was pointless
So increasing does nothing and decreasing does nothing in terms of fees but that just goes back to shouldn’t we prevent certain material, at least for now while bitcoin is in it’s adoption phase, from being stored.
View it from the context of Edward Snowden. Published some documents he is a hero and exposed war crimes but is a criminal in the eyes of the US Government.
