My very first — and also heavily-cropped — photograph of a Common Sandpiper (Flussuferläufer). I saw him for the first time yesterday but wasn't able to take a photo due to the rain. So I decided to go back today and look for him again — and there he was!

They're so difficult to spot. Unless they move, it's basically impossible to see them.
