CO HB25-1312 passed the House on Sunday and now will move on to the Senate. If enacted, it would not only criminalize ‘deadnaming and misgendering’ as discriminatory acts, but also require courts to consider them as types of ‘coercive control’ i.e. child abuse, when making child custody decisions.
