For people who push "death of the author" ideas where the creator's views are meaningless to a work, they sure have a really hard time separating the art from the artist.

They hate when you might have a RW interpretation of a piece of fiction because "That's not what the creator meant by it," like Horton Hears a Who being about abortion.

When some creator turns out to have any mildly right view (Harry Potter, Minecraft) they completely flip on it.
