I've said for a long time that care staff should be on the equivalent of NHS pay, terms and conditions.
This would be a huge undertaking - but no more so than the NHS 'Agenda for Change' regrading process many years ago.
There would be cost implications - and the care companies would fight it tooth & nail as it'd eat into their profits.
