Have some sympathy for them though. I've been chairman of mine for a long time, but there's always been at least 2 other people on the committee. For years now I kept getting outvoted on setting the fees according to what the strata agent had budgeted. I kept saying we can't do that, we'll get behind. Still got outvoted. Now one of the balconies needs structural repairs. It could be $100,000. We only have $10,000 in the sinking fund. Guess what is going to happen to our fees now! 😡
