tbh the way I see it is that no rule or policy would actually stop someone from committing assault if they wanted to
At the same time, it can set a precedent. In Wii spa in Korea Town, there was someone exposing themselves to children in the women's section and using being trans as a defense. There were protests about it. In the end, it turned out that person was a convicted sex offended who had exposed themselves in public multiple times before. The people excusing that behavior conveniently never addressed this when it came out soon after.
I don't think it's as black and white as people make it out to be, because GnC women can also be ostracized by other women and they often are in restrooms. Women also often take their children into the restroom with them regardless of sex and idc about that.
