Same. We've got new viruses to contend with than we used to and no real way to mitigate them aside from air filtration which is not a one-time expense. All the good eating and exercise in the world won't protect you if you get a big enough dose of any modern viral pathogen. Just like it won't protect you from brain damage if you smack your head on the concrete.

Used to be in winter (in northern hemisphere) you had: strep, flu, common cold, RSV, and whooping cough all peaking at once. While people get flu in summer, it's not as common, so a good portion of the population got sick in winter but if you avoided it, you were basically good till next winter. Only around 20% of the population gets flu each year. Covid peaks in winter *and* summer and since they're new variants, you get much larger portions of the population getting it each time. Adding even one sickness to that list which infects that many people that often and it's gonna feel like everybody is sick all the time. The flu and covid vaccines aren't particularly effective for varying reasons and less than 10% of the population gets covid boosters because the side effects are rough.

Better air filtration fixes basically all of this, just like it would fix the many diseases we used to catch from drinking unsafe water. But until society decides that expense is worth it, everybody is going to get sick once a year or more on average depending on how many people they interact with. Welcome to the new normal.
