Absolutely agree. We're trying to reframe this with our kids--third commandment violations are the worst offenses, the other 'regular' vulgarities are impolite, unintelligent, are overused, are often a 'filler' for an underdeveloped vocabulary, frequently betray intellectual weakness--but are not nearly as morally reprehensible as insulting our Creator and Redeemer. The former are usually/often offensive to men within our current cultural context, but the latter is offensive to God himself always and everywhere. Not that it's OK to offend our neighbors--not at all--but there is a scale, and it is worse to offend God than it is to offend men.
