That's true. Speakers and microphones are somewhat electronically the same so you might be able to extract crappy audio that way. You can extract audio from vibrations seen by a camera. The pinephone's camera is so bad tho that this doesn't mater much. You could probably extract audio from the acceleration detection but I never tried this one. It's a maybe. But there is often a way basically.
