idly looking at a new computer monitor and annoyed/confused by the fact that brightness still seems to suck ass?
the best oled gaming monitor i've seen has a sustained 100% window brightness of about 270 nits—and that's with a w-oled panel that sacrifices a little bit of color saturation and text clarity. the current ipad pro does 1000 nits (it's a different panel type (tandem oled), but still, it's 4 times better than high-end monitors?)
