thinking hard about that tumblr link delve ✨ (npub1u0t…kvye) posted and how much i mourned the loss of women's companionship after i transitioned.

even as someone who for most of my childhood didn't *have* women's companionship. I really only started to experience that in late high school/early college, at the point where I was also coming to terms with my not-a-women-ness.

but being in computer science as a not-man forced the issue, and brought me much closer to the other not-men even as I actively sought out friendships largely outside of my major.

and the coldness after. the feeling of being a predator in the eyes of people i understood. it sucks. it sucks so much. and i still understand why they react that way, and empathize, but ow.
