No. It is not. Firstly, we're mostly in this mess because of fiat incentives and also being stuck in the two party system. Both of those can be fixed, though, obviously with much work. Secondly, none of this should matter. The federal government should be so far removed from people's daily life that it really shouldn't matter who the president is.
