Hi nostr, its been another busy day, but I think we are past the worst of this cold spell, until the next one i guess. The pipes at the cabin thawed out without anything catastrophic happening, so we're thankful for that. No freeze in the forecast tonite, but Friday nite will be subfreezing again, although not as cold as what we've had. Weather like this does make you see weaknesses on your homestead, but there's only so much you can do, and luckily our cold snaps dont usually last too long.
We heard today that our church building had some pipes burst, and apparently has quite alot of water damage that will need to be cleaned up. I think the service this week will be moved to a different location.
I'm gonna get some rest now, and enjoy sitting near the woodstove while I read a book. Yall have a good evening nostr friends, stay safe and warm.
