Ceres may have deep water pockets, suggested by the bright spots of evaporated saltwater on its surface. Dawn's 2015 images support this idea, likening Ceres to some moons. The video highlights these spots in false-color pink. Dawn was retired in 2018 to prevent contamination of potential life on Ceres.
