If the #fosstodon thing has made me realize anything, it's how fragile all of this is. It doesn't take very much for me to start losing accounts that I follow, or accounts that follow me, because there may suddenly be people deleting those accounts, migrating to other instances, or in the worst case scenario, defederation. Each of those things leads to a loss of community which is why we're all here in the first place.
