"content": "Anyone doing an #ObsWrapped? Looking back at some memorable observations of wildlife in 2025?\n\nFor the third year in row I look back at my journeys in nature and the observations I made. Every observation is dear to me. Some observations have an additional special place in my heart because it was a lifer and/or it was a wholesome experience. Here I will mention some of these observations (thread).\n\nShort-eared Owl (lifer)\nThe surprise of the year. Short-eared owls had successfully bred in nearby meadows. In autumn, they emerged from the tall grass at dusk. They first sought each other out and then went hunting. \n\nI witnessed this ritual several times, some of them together with my daughter.
