Probably true, but it does limit the attack surface to use amber. From the end user's perspective, I would prefer to only expose my nsec to amber instead of the number of clients I'm using.
I, for one, would love to see Wisp support amber again.
One of the huge promises of nostr in general is that you keep your following (and follows) with you regardless of client. I can understand why some would treat their nsec as a throwaway, but I don't think "influencers" would think of it that way. I think they would want it as secure as possible. Especially when there's no central authority to assist when you get hacked.
