Even as I’m messing about hand stitching a quote boost of something damon (npub1haj…hv9x) said, I still find the fediverse far more engaging than BS. I’ve always felt it was the effortful part — people here are working on it, giving each other grief, adapting, adjusting, keeping going.
So it’s some combination of the people and the friction. In the nine years since I came here entirely by accident people together made major mistakes, and people together keep working to repair and renew, and despite all the stereotypes the people doing this are all kinds of people.
