HEADS UP! 👀
“Most people born after 1975 [in the U.S.] would have received the second dose [of measles vaccine] as part of their routine vaccinations,” says CDC spokesperson Jasmine Reed. “Most adults born between 1957 and about 1975 likely have had only one dose.”
I was born in 1974 and only had one dose, so I went for a titer test* for measles. I DO NOT have sufficient immunity! 😧
I now have a measles vaccine appointment scheduled.
GET TESTED IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT!
MAKE SURE YOU ARE PROPERLY VACCINATED! 💉
*An antibody titer is a test that detects the presence and measures the amount of antibodies within a person’s blood.
