I have loads of potentially toxic plants to cats here. I don't own a cat but they all still come here and hang out. I use the toxic ones near places I don't want the cats to crap on like woodchip paths and raised beds. They still walk past these plants but don't hang around. I think a lot of these plants are only really bad for them if they consume them which and the scent warns them of.
