Those unilateral exits are really tricky - trickier than most people realize. My idea was to make it more transparent what's actually happening by displaying it in a graph. The complexity of the underlying machinery is so high that this might be a dedicated app in its own right.
But it's now easier for users to get them right:
1. Start unilateral exit in wallet management
2. Tap on one of the leaves in the graph
3. Tap on the "select this leaf for exit" switch
4. Optionally activate the "proceed automatically" switch (recommended)
5. Start the process - it runs in the background as long as the wallet is unlocked, if you did the previous step
6. Once the process has finished, you tap on "Complete unilateral exit" in wallet management
7. Select the coins you want to move to L1 and continue
-> Exit complete
That's still a significant number of steps, but it's a complicated process that is inherently error prone. Handling those potential errors gracefully was actually the biggest challenge of this new feature.
I still suggest not trying this on mainnet, since the tx fees will burn your balance. Try signet/mutinynet instead.
