I just finished a re-read of Martha Wells' Witch King before diving into the sequel since it had been almost 3 years and the book is just as amazing as I remembered it being.
I love the worldbuilding and lore but the found-family, easy acceptance of queer relationships, and the kick-ass woman who will stop at nothing to rescue her wife just puts it into a league of its own for me.
