So my dentist friend is buying a dental clinic (880k/year on average with a 13% net margin pre owner compensation and a 1.3% net margin after debt service) and she's also deciding to go back to second grad school to get a masters degree in business?

LIke bruh, you're gonna have all your time consumed by making sure your business doesn't explode, why tf would you sign up for more school?

Also, good for her, but if I was running a business with 70k/month and literally $1000 worth of wiggle room after debt service, i'd literally be exploding with anxiety...thats like suicide on your stress...

One insurance company gets cute and pays you 60 days late and you're underwater...

I never understood the point of "buying" a business because having a massive debt service loan seems like a horrible idea. I mean painting, we don't do anywhere near like 70-80k per month, but because I don't have a 9k/month business loan it's so much less stress...
